After success of Tridev (1989) director Rajiv Rai decided to repeat his lead trio Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff and Naseeruddin Shah in his next Vishwatma (1992)Rajiv Rai planned to shoot the whole film in African safari in Kenya. Hence Jackie Shroff opted out due to personal commitments and Chunkey Pandey replaced him, little did he know that while shooting in Kenya he will be treated by a Vet.
A huge cast and crew of the film left for the shoot in Kenya and had a long schedule.

Vishwatma had chartbuster songs like Saat samundar... and Dil le gayi teri bindiya...While songs like Toofan... and Aadmi zindagi... were decent hits. Film had one more song Aankhon mein hai kya tasveer teri... which wasn’t that big hit but has an interesting story to share.

It was shot in jungles of Kenya with Sunny Deol being paired opposite Divya Bharti and Chunkey Pandey with Jyostna Singh. The other cast members would also be present at the location to enjoy the jungle safari.
During the shooting of the song someone noticed moments behind the nearby bushes and saw a Tiger was moving from there which raised panic and everyone started running to save their life. In this panic situation Chunkey Pandey fell down and dislocated his arm. As there was no Dr available in the jungle he had been taken to Vet for immediate attention.
While Chunkey Pandey was been treated the other crew members were waiting for him.Its when the forest officials arrived and asked everyone to be in the bus as four Panthers were spotted nearby. But the crew decided to go an check the Panther’s, when they reached near the forest officials to enquire little did they realize was that a Lion strolled behind their bus and passed away.
